Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 8 July 2026 · Bugbase browser extension & dashboard

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Bugbase ("we", "us") governing your use of the Bugbase bug-reporting extension, dashboard, widget, and related services (together, the "Service"). By installing the extension, signing in, or filing a report you agree to these Terms. If you use Bugbase on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

1. Definitions

2. The Service

Bugbase lets your team and clients report bugs directly on a web page - capturing a screenshot, console and network logs, and an optional DOM session replay - then triaging and routing each report to your organization's Bugbase backend for developers and, where enabled, AI assistance. The Service is provided for software quality and bug-fixing workflows. Features, limits, and availability may change as the Service evolves.

3. Eligibility and accounts

4. Plans, trials, and fees

Bugbase may be offered on free and paid plans. Where a paid plan applies, the fees, billing cycle, and included limits are those shown at sign-up or in your order. Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of taxes, are non-refundable except where required by law, and paid plans renew for successive terms until cancelled. We may change plans or pricing prospectively with reasonable notice; changes do not affect the term you have already paid for.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Your Content

You retain all rights in Your Content. You grant your organization, and Bugbase as its processor, the rights needed to host, store, display, and process Your Content solely to operate and support the Service. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and consents for the data you capture and for masking sensitive information before submitting it (see the Privacy Policy). Your organization is the controller of Your Content; Bugbase processes it on its instructions.

7. AI features

When your organization enables AI features, report text and knowledge-base documents may be sent to third-party AI providers to classify bugs and answer questions from your own documents, as described in the Privacy Policy. AI output is generated automatically, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and must be reviewed by a human before you rely on it. You are responsible for decisions made using AI output.

8. Intellectual property

The Bugbase extension, widget, dashboard, and underlying software are owned by Bugbase and its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service during your subscription. Except for that licence, no rights in the software are transferred to you, and you may not copy, resell, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.

9. Feedback

If you send us suggestions or feedback about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use it to improve the Service, without any obligation to you.

10. Third-party services and sites

The Service runs on web pages you choose and integrates with third-party providers (e.g. object storage, email delivery, and AI providers). Bugbase is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site on which you enable reporting or that we link to, and your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms.

11. Warranties and disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that captured data or AI output will be complete or accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bugbase and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid to us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100.

13. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Bugbase against third-party claims arising from Your Content, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

14. Term and termination

These Terms apply while you use the Service. Your organization may suspend or remove your access at any time; we may suspend or terminate access that breaches these Terms or the law. You may stop using the Service at any time by signing out and removing the extension. On termination your licence ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (ownership, Your Content licence, warranties, liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.

15. Governing law and disputes

The parties will try to resolve any dispute amicably. Failing that, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts having jurisdiction, and these Terms will be governed by the applicable law of that jurisdiction - without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any order you agree to, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
